Tropical Sorbet scrap page

Another scrapbook page created with Polkadoodles Digi scrap kit Tropical Sorbet. I just love the papers, they could be used for so many types of paper crafting. The borders were made with a digital punch. My choice of software is CraftArtist, but I also have Paintshop pro.
This is a close up of the Photo frame and cluster. I originally had a light coloured mat behind the pink photo frame, but found it blended too much into the background, so I darkened it. I then created a dashed line to go on top of the mat to make it pop. There was a beautiful array of flowers in the kit, which I stacked with shadows to lift them up, to make the cluster. Because of the patterned background, I cut out a flower shape from one of the plain papers in the kit and gave it an inked effect in the software to act as a base for the cluster. I then finished it off with a butterfly.

Tropical Sorbet "I'm a Fairy"

Another page made with the Polkadoodles Tropical Sorbet Digital Scrapbook kit. I love making Fairies with Butterfly wings,  I've also used the fab selection of toadstools and birdhouses to create the scene. The background has 1 plain paper and 1 textured which I have masked over the bird houses and toadstools. #polkadoodles#

Tropical Sorbet scrap page 2

A digital scrapbook page made with Tropical Sorbet kit from Polkadoodles. The kit has beautiful tropical fruit coloured papers, in different patterns and colour combinations. I loved the little ladybugs in the embellishment, the little buttons and bows, not to mention the toadstools just right for those fairy projects we all love to make. #Polkadoodles#

Summer Breeze At the Seaside.

An English day at the beach, Katherine in her raincoat.I used the navy because of Katherine's coat. I have this thing in my head, that most of the time  I have matching kits to clothes. I have been guilty of changing the colour of someones clothes, if there is a kit I particularly want to use,but we best not discuss that! The pink lining of her coat was a problem, but then I found the lovely pink beach hut. Kit is Summer Breeze #Polkadoodles#.http://www.polkadoodles.co.uk/summer-breeze-digi-scrap-craft-download/

Summer Breeze, Keira's holiday.

Loved the colour scheme here, so refreshing the lemon with the hint of turquoise and the darkness of the navy, just right for sunny Summer days. I put large shadows on the fish to make them stand out, so they looked like they were swimming in the foreground. #Polkadoodles# http://www.polkadoodles.co.uk/summer-breeze-digi-scrap-craft-download/

York Garden Scrap.

Well this was a photo taken when we went to York for a week. We were up on the city wall, very scary at times, but marvelous views of York. I just had the idea of scrapping from inside a garden looking at the photo of a garden, Loved the trees!  #Polkadoodles#

Keira Stitched with love.

This is Keira she is 7 going on 21. She's planning on getting married when I am 109, so we've got a while to go before I get any wedding pics to scrap! I love haberdashery items to scrap with, they lead the way to rows of stitching, which can be used to join layers together x #Polkadoodles#.

Katherine's a big girl now.

Well this is Katherine, she is 5 and suffers from Autism, but what a bundle of joy.We are so proud of her as we thought she was non verbal, but now she has started to talk. #Polkadoodles#.

This is me!

Hello and welcome to my new blog!
I'm just about to start a new crafting journey, so out with the old and in with the new. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. Well this year I'm sixty yes the big 60 and feeling it. I just love crafting especially Digi crafting, I have been on the Serif Daisytrail Design Team from March 2014 to July 2017,we were so sad to hear of the demise of Daisytrail in the last week , but a new opportunity came along in the shape of the wonderful Nikki Hall and Polkadoodles!
I am so looking forward to working with Nikki's art work. Between my husband and I, we have 6 children and 11 grandchildren ranging from the age of 2 months old to 16years,plenty of people to scrap and plenty to make cards for. I feel crafting is a gift you should give to a child, it will last a life time.Well enough about me for now, please join me on my new Polkadoodle's journey and lets see where it takes us and what we can create along the way Linda x
